Supporting the Late Mail Luncheon in Adelaide
Medallion Homes are proud to be the exclusive naming sponsor of the Late Mail Luncheon event in Adelaide and we are looking forward to the second annual event to be held on Friday 3 May 2013 as part of the resurgent Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival.
We support initiatives that are designed to enhance the quality of life for our community and the Late Mail Luncheon is one such event with it's charitable focus and enviable goal to raise awareness of cardiac and healthy heart issues.
This successful racing industry lunch was born some 10 years ago in Melbourne during their successful spring racing carnival and has become a feature - attracting the very best thoroughbred trainers and racing elite to celebrate the Melbourne Cup each year.
We are proud to present this luncheon in Adelaide where we hope such an initiative will help to provide South Australian's with a sense of pride and tradition as we celebrate one of the oldest races held in Australia - the SA Derby.
This classic race for 3 year old thoroughbreds has an extraordinary honor roll that boasts some of the most famous names in racing including the great Bart Cummings (Bart's 1st Group 1 winner in 1958), Lee Freedman (Lee's first Group 1 winner with Miss Clipper in 1984) to last years' winner - Zabeelionairre trained by Leon Corstens.
We hope that in time this, and other initiatives, will help continue to grow South Australia's love affair and enjoyment of one of our most colourful and exciting sports - thoroughbred racing.
